Music has always been a big part of my life. I remember creating songs in my head when I was 5 and trying to get my family to sing them so that I could try to harmonize them. Guitar came a bit later when I turned 15. I was fascinated by the sense of freedom guitar players gave me.

I believe music is a gift from God and in that respect, I feel that it is the responsibility of a musician to develop that gift with hard work, humility and thanksgiving.

Playing and Influences
So many great musicians have inspired me to strive for excellence. Steve Vai and Joe Satriani have been spinning in my CD player for many years. I recently discovered Guthrie Govan and he has opened my musical mind to the wonderful world of phrasing. John Pettrucci is also on my very long list of musical influences.

At GMC
One of the things I try to do with my work at GMC is to give the student the tools to develop their personal musical individuality. I believe that every musician is unique and has something great to offer. I try to help them develop these things in a thought provoking way.

GMC has been very good to me and I look forward to seeing all the wonderful things the website will have to offer soon!
